Is your pet on the naughty or nice list for Christmas this year?

With 50 days until Christmas, festive preparations for many are already on the way. Excitingly, a survey from American Express shows furry friends are top of the list for extra special spending this year - yes, our pets are most definitely on the nice list!

With pet owners around the UK playing 'santa-paws', Father Christmas will be visiting our four-legged friends this festive season.

Over a third (35%) of Brits say they will be buying treats, costumes or gifts for their pets this Christmas, spending £14 each on their furry companions. At PetJam we've just opened our Christmas shop, so stay tuned as we add more products in the run up to Christmas!

Nearly half (47%) of doting animal-lovers said they liked to include their pet in festive celebrations and nearly one in three (32%) said pets are easier to buy for than family and friends. Here at PetJam, we definitely find it easier to buy for our pets with founder Katie saying; "It definitely is a lot easier to buy for our pets over family, there are so many gorgeous products that I just think will look super-cute. From a new cosy bed, treats or well-made collar and lead set, to start the new year as we mean to go on - I think we go a little over-board spoiling our pets, but they are totally worth it!"

Jenny Cheung, Director at American Express, said: “It’s great to see everyone enjoying the Christmas season in their own special way, including all members of the family - even those with a tail. No matter how you like to celebrate, any Christmas spending should be as rewarding as possible.”
